Publi-FDM is now called Daddy Kate XL
Publi-FDM is now Daddy Kate XL. This name change is part of the harmonisation of the visual identity of the companies within the Daddy Kate Group.
The four production sites in Belgium and France will henceforth operate as Daddy Kate Brussels, Daddy Kate Lille, Daddy Kate Lyon and Daddy Kate XL. At the same time, a renewed group website has been launched, presenting all of the group’s locations.
Publi-FDM
In 2023, Daddy Kate Group invested in Publi-FDM, adding large-format printing to its portfolio. As a result, the group acquired a stake in the company founded by Franky De Meyer in Sint-Lievens-Houtem. This autumn, Daddy Kate XL will move to a new production site in Bavegem, where all of the group’s large-format activities will be brought together.
Franky De Meyer announced on LinkedIn that he will remain closely involved with Daddy Kate XL as a shareholder and director, and will continue to help shape the company’s strategy, growth and future together with the team.
A recognisable identity
According to De Meyer, the Daddy Kate name gives the XL company a strong and clearly recognisable identity among both national and international customers. “At the same time, we are strengthening our collaboration with our sister companies in Brussels, Lille and Lyon.”
“With this new name, we are building on everything that has made Publi-FDM strong: our people, expertise, service, entrepreneurial spirit and personal approach. From now on, we will combine these strengths even more closely with the power and capabilities of the Daddy Kate Group.”
A broader network
De Meyer emphasises that Daddy Kate XL will retain its own character, expertise and entrepreneurial spirit within the group. “At the same time, closer collaboration gives us access to a broader network, additional expertise and increased production capacity. For our customers, this primarily means even more possibilities from within one strong group.”
The current Daddy Kate family business was established in 2015 through the merger of Claes-Roels and The Factory Brussels and has a long history in the Belgian graphic industry. The company has been nominated at the PRINTmatters Awards 2026 for the title of ‘Printmedia Company of the Year’. The winners will be announced on 10 November.
