Sustainability

Sustainability is deeply embedded in the way we work. At Daddy Kate, we’re constantly looking for ways to innovate in an environmentally conscious way, without compromising on quality. After all, the environmental impact of printed materials is becoming increasingly important to our customers as well.

Concrete Steps Toward a More Sustainable Future

  • We invest in energy-efficient machines, eco-friendly insulation, and LED lighting.
  • We recover the heat generated by our machines.
  • We use plant-based inks whenever possible.
  • We have about 1,400 solar panels on our roofs, which allow us to generate approximately 25% of our electricity needs ourselves. We make up the remaining 75% with 100% green energy.
  • In addition, since 2022, all new company vehicles have been electric, and we have public charging stations in our parking lot.
  • We are working toward CO₂ neutrality, with the goal of further reducing our emissions step by step. For example, we are partnering with DHL to offer CO₂-neutral deliveries.

Waste Becomes a Raw Material

We are strongly committed to waste separation, recycling, and the reuse of materials.

Paper waste is sorted and recycled. Waste streams from large-format applications are also given a second life. Examples include Dibond, Forex, honeycomb panels, and Plexiglas. Whenever possible, panels are collected after use for recycling. For certain campaigns, such as promotional flags, stakeholders can also request collection bags to gather waste, which is then recycled.

Making Sustainability Measurable

For us, sustainability goes beyond good intentions. That’s why we also invest in certifications that demonstrate our efforts.

Imprim’Vert en ClimateCalc

Since 2024, all of our production sites have been Imprim’Vert & ClimateCalc-certified. Thanks to ClimateCalc, we can calculate the carbon footprint of a print or packaging product and share this information transparently with our customers.

FSC- and PEFC

We have held FSC and PEFC certifications for many years, which guarantee responsible forest management that takes ecological, social, and economic aspects into account.

EcoVadis

In 2025, we further expanded our sustainability policy to include EcoVadis and ISO 14001. EcoVadis evaluates companies on criteria such as the environment, working conditions, ethics, and sustainable procurement.
